Have you ever stayed silent because you were afraid of what others might think?
The moment
The religious leaders wanted to trap Jesus, but when He asked about John's baptism, they froze. They whispered, 'If we say from heaven, He'll ask why we didn't believe. If we say from men, the crowd will turn on us.' So they answered, 'We do not know.'
Where it points
Their fear of the crowd kept them from the truth. But Joseph, though falsely accused and imprisoned, trusted God and was exalted to feed the nations (Genesis 41:38-57). Jesus, too, would be exalted, and He is the true bread of life for the world (Philippians 2:9-11; John 6:35).
For today
Today, when fear of others tempts you to hide your faith, remember that God's approval matters more than human opinion. Let that truth give you courage to speak and act in His name.
