What if your first 'no' to God isn't your final answer?
The moment
Jesus tells of a father who asks his first son to work in the vineyard. The son refuses, but later he changes his mind and goes. His words said no, but his actions said yes.
Matthew 21:29
Where it points
This echoes the servant in Exodus who chooses to stay with his master out of love, his ear pierced as a sign of lifelong service (Exodus 21:6). Jesus, too, took the form of a servant, obedient by choice (Philippians 2:7).
Exodus 21:6 · Philippians 2:7
For today
Today, if you've said 'no' to God before, it's not too late. Change your mind, and go. He delights in your turning.
