What happens when two or three gather in Jesus’ name? He says, 'There I am in their midst.' Is that just a promise, or something more?
The moment
Jesus assures his disciples: if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done by my Father. Then he grounds it in the gathering—where two or three are, he is there.
Where it points
In the garden, God clothed Adam and Eve with skins—a covering at the cost of a life (Genesis 3:21). Now, we are clothed with Christ (Romans 13:14), and he is present among us, covering our shame.
For today
Today, when you gather with even one other believer, remember Christ is there. Agree in prayer, and trust his covering—he has clothed you in his righteousness, so come boldly.
